I love ceramics — what an incredible medium! Where else do you find all the elements of nature working together, each playing such an essential role? The earth in the clay, the water that shapes it, the air that begins its transformation, and the fire that completes it. It’s a dance of nature and creativity — and I’m endlessly inspired by it.

My ceramics journey began innocently enough — just a fun three-hour class — but I was instantly hooked. Obsessed, even! I fell in love with the feeling of clay in my hands, and with the quiet dialogue that happens between maker and material. Each piece becomes a reflection not only of the earth, but of myself in that moment.

When I speak as Quanta la Gusta Pottery, I often use the royal “we.” That’s because this journey has never been a solo one. Quanta la Gusta isn’t just me — it’s every friend and family member who has encouraged me, supported me, and believed in me along the way. Their fingerprints are part of this work too.

Pottery also connects me to those who are no longer here in body, but whose love and inspiration remain woven into everything I create. At the wheel, I feel their presence — steady, guiding, and warm.
