"Quanta La Gusta!"
There is no phrase that could embody zest for life greater than those words from the lips of my grandmother, Anna Lois Sackett Ham. Every adventure, great and small, started with this exclamation!
It originated with the 1947 song recorded by Carmen Miranda and The Andrews Sisters, Cuanto Le Gusta, which Granny sang with her students when she taught fourth grade music. But, like a decades long game of telephone, this excited expression deviated from the original and became "Quanta la Gusta!" All who knew her, knew this as Granny's motto, delighting in all of the adventures to come!
